Rattray's Old Gowrie Pipe Tobacco - 25g Loose
Rattray's Old Gowrie is a broken flake of Kentucky, Perique and Virginia. Opening the bag, you are greeted by a pure tobacco scent, one that's mildly sweet and matured.
Virginia is definitely present, with a touch of Kentucky's woody-smoky earthiness and some dark fruit from the Perique.
The colour of the tobacco is fairly monochrome but what it lacks in colour it more than makes up for in apparent quality that you can feel in the texture of the leaf and the smell it gives off. Rubbing the tobacco furtheR.Â

Old Gowrie smokes well too, it may take a little extra time to light, depending on how thoroughly rubbed out it is, but once it gets going it's easy to keep alight.
